There is no fear in love, but there is perfect love when we trust in God through faith. We can choose to give in to the “fear knot” that allows the voice of the enemy to override the voice of God, or we can keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and in turn keep our hearts and minds in perfect peace, even in the middle of the biggest storm.

The world is constantly feeding us lies about how we can be in control of our lives. But the reality is this: we’re not in control, and that’s a really good thing. When we believe the truth that God holds our yesterday, our today, and our tomorrow, we can surrender to Him and follow His leading without fear.

Scripture talks a whole lot about…”nothing”! We’re told that we’re “nothing” without Jesus, and we’re warned that we can take “nothing” with us when we leave this world, but we’re also promised that we can trade our “nothing” in and receive the gift of eternal life in exchange. And when we accept Christ’s offer of salvation, we should be anxious about nothing, but give thanks in everything, knowing God promises to take care of us and provide for our every need.

We all know how it feels to worry. But when we’re faced with a difficult circumstance, anxiety only distracts us and takes our eyes off of Jesus. When we choose to go to Him in prayer, release our worries, and rejoice in His faithfulness, we’re better able to trust Him to take care of our situation!

The world is filled with anxiety. Especially in our current circumstances! But when we let ourselves become consumed by worry, what we’re really saying is that we lack trust in God. When we re-direct our focus towards choosing to trust Him, He gives us an unexplainable, supernatural peace — and the ability to rejoice in our circumstances, no matter what they are.
