When Jesus died on the cross, He took all of our sin — past, present, and future — and nailed it to the cross along with Himself. It’s on us to accept the fact that He paid our debt in full, and then move forward in the freedom that can only come from living in God’s forgiveness.

If God is faithful to forgive us of our sins, then why do we have such a hard time releasing them ourselves? He calls us to leave our old ways behind and to power forward in the freedom that comes with our repentance. Other people will notice the change in us when we let go of the past and take hold of the future hope He’s promised.

There’s a “heavenly fear” FOR God which translates to reverence and respect. Then there’s an “earthly fear” OF Him which translates to distrust and discontentment. Then there’s NO FEAR in His perfect love through Jesus, because His love casts out ALL fear. Untie yourself from the wrong kind of “fear” today and be free in Christ!

When it comes to fixing our problems or walking away from our sin, it’s often easier said than done! But we’re not alone when it comes to facing our greatest challenges. Jesus has given us His power, through the Holy Spirit, to overcome any obstacle we face!
