God sent His Son to this world as a human being to experience being human. And that experience encompassed all of the emotions we face on a daily basis — including loneliness. Jesus understood what it meant to be alone, yet He made us a promise that nobody else around us could ever fulfill: He promises that He will never leave us.

As Christians, we never walk alone. But that doesn’t mean we don’t feel lonely sometimes. Jesus took the consequences of our sin so that we would never again need to be separated from God. Once we accept His gift, it’s our responsibility to surround ourselves with other believers both to be encouraged and to be an encouragement as we navigate this life together.
