The Bible tells us to make sure we’re personally right with the Lord before we call others out for their actions. And when we do speak truth, it needs to be in love — boldly calling sin what it is, and pointing to the hope that’s found only in our Savior. We’re not meant to turn a blind eye to the sinful actions of this world, but we can speak with a genuine sense of compassion and strive to lead people to the Gospel.
We live in a world that proclaims all truth is relative, and what’s true for one person doesn’t have to be true for the next. But truth is absolute, and when it comes to our salvation, the only truth is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As Christians, it’s our job to be bold and speak that truth in love to the world around us!
It’s easier to believe whatever we hear instead of looking for truth ourself. God’s looking for people who seek out the Scripture and have a foundation set on Him, so that nothing that comes their way will toss and sway them from what they know to be true. Let us be that kind of person!
