The angel said to Mary, “You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.”
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
You, Lord, will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for others.
When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation, Lord, brought me joy.
